Mathematics
Math is the closest thing to magic we possess. It allows us to understand the universe and predict the future. Lacking access to specific courses, including AP classes, I took responsibility for my growth by taking classes through UCScout and UCSD Extended Studies. I completed AP Calculus BC in my freshman year, both parts of AP Physics C in my sophomore year, and Calculus III in my junior year. These courses provided the knowledge to develop groundbreaking technologies for my robotics team and win awards at science fairs. In addition to my own learning I have spent many hours mentoring, creating educational videos, and even gave a TEDx Talk to encourage others interest in math. Here is a small sampling of this passion of mine.
A method for autonomous navigation with the advantages of open-loop control, and the stability and predictability of closed-loop control
In this project, I created a new application for teaching the Complex Fourier Series.
I created a two-minute educational video explaining a complex math concept to educate others, and hopefully to excite them to learn more.
I spend a lot of time exploring and playing with math to understand, model and predict things I find interesting or are useful to my projects. Here is a tiny sample of this passion.
