Research

I have a passion for STEM across a wide range of disciplines. The Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair ("GSDSEF") and the International Science and Engineering Fair ("ISEF") have allowed me to share my love of STEM with others at the local, state, and international levels.

I designed and built a machine capable of manufacturing precise, complex metal parts at a low cost. Unlike 3D printers, which add material, it removes material. While other existing machines cut or vaporize metal, mine dissolves it in a conductive solution using electricity. This innovative approach avoids common manufacturing problems, costs ten times less than alternatives, and offers enhanced capabilities. My machine can create functional parts from nearly any conductive material, regardless of its mechanical properties, and craft delicate components that other methods would destroy.

Intuitively understanding the Fourier transform is difficult. Many resources do not show all its aspects. This creates potential learning gaps for students. This proposed method of teaching the Fourier transform adds a more complete visual explanation to eliminate potential learning gaps. I created a computer program that extends the time axis of the Fourier transform into a third dimension, giving the viewer an interactive way to intuitively conceptualize Fourier transforms.
